Hello one and all, today I offer for viewing a photo of the American Robin. These birds are pretty much iconic creatures as they live in most of Canada where I live and as such these birds never go nameless and are remembered as one that most people here think as the harbinger of spring. This photo shows the bird with an insect larvae or grub of some sort in its bill, food for it's young most likely.

The camera was set to manual mode and spot metering was used and for the exposure the ev level was set at -1 .

I hope you enjoy this robin photo.

Hello Bob,
Nice shot of this American Robin with an insect and it's bill. These are very common here in Ohio as well, we see them daily in our yard looking for worms. Nicely focused and showing true natural color tones. Perhaps a little dark as far as overall lighting, yet the robin is clearly seen in wonderful detail.

Ciao Bob, great capture of lovely American robin in nice pose on beautiful dark blurry BG, wonderful natural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Bob,
Beautiful colors and from the exceptional contrast I firstly thought you used flash (after reading the exif info I see you didn't). Absolutely excellent exposure and light usage. Nice textures, good sharpness as well. Maybe, if there is a direct eye contact with the robin, this photo would be 100/100 on my rankings - but hats off for the current image also. Great job.
Kind regards from Ireland, László
