[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Arctic Wolf also known as the Polar or White Wolf.
Canis lupus arctos
This wolf is smaller than the Timber Wolf even though related. Their smaller size and shorter muzzle help to retain body heat.
They weigh up to 70 kg and can be 1.8 m long.
Their diet consists of Muskox, Arctic Hare and Caribou.
I captured this Arctic Wolf in a Wolf Sanctuary.

Hello Janice,
Great winter scene. Good sharpness and beautiful colours.
Regards,

Hi, Janice. Although you photographed this in the sanctuary still it is a treat since photographing an Arctic Wolf in its natural habitat during winter is not an easy task. I do like the Amber eyes of this beautiful animal. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Janice,
Almost like a ghost wolf as it suddenly appears amongst the snow and saplings, all the time perfectly blending into it's surroundings. A real beauty which we rarely get to see here on TN very often. Love those piercing eyes.

Hello Janice
Lovely wolf, beautiful composition with fine POV and the way its glance
and eyes are framed by the foreground off-focus trees, TFS
