Coyotes resting on Ice.

Coyotes play an important roll in nature helping to control and keep in balance the rodent population.

A Coyotes diet may include mice, rats, voles but 30% of their diet may include berries and grasses.

The bond of a pair of coyotes may last a lifetime. Breeding usually occurs in late winter and pups are born 63 days later. Pups will stay with their parents until they are 6 to 8 months old.

Hi Janice, the atmosphere of this pic is truly fantastic! What a magnificent white scenery broken by this coyotes group,a very original capture made with very good quality despite the distance and the difficult choice of the best exposure,it's nice to see something of different on TN,i like it! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Ciao Janice, lovely composition with fantastic quartet, wonderful colors, splendid light and excellent clarity, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello Janice, How exciting!!
What a neat shot of these four beautiful Coyotes on the ice. This is something that you don't get to see very often, let alone have the good fortune to photograph it.
We have quite a few Coyotes living in our area, but still rarely get to see them in the open like this. I caught a fleeting glimpse of one yesterday as it ran through the field behind the house. I was thrilled just to be able to view it for a second or two. Wonderful capture!!
Hope you don't mind, but I wanted to try a WS on this unique photo.
Ron

Hello Janice,
When I face white substance most of the time my picture gets overexposed. But here you have managed it very well.Nice natural colour with natural ambiance.
Thanks for sharing your experience,
Regards and have a nice time,
Srikumar

You can feel the cold permeating these coyotes. I have posted a workshop, but not sure where it ended up on the web site!

Hello Janice

Hello Janice,

You hear and sense them but you rarely ever see them in NB. So this fine study is quite a novelty to these eyes with them so open and relaxed. Fine focus, contrasting bg, and excellent pov. Well taken.

Regards,

Derek
