The composition here was intentional as it's intended to be used as a postcard with text in the deadspace.
Cheam Lake where these geese were photographed is an old limestone quarry site that has been filled with water and turned into a wildlife sanctuary. This lake is about 20 minutes from my place and is a wonderful area for photographing birds in particular.

Hand held eh? You sure handled the camera well there fella! It is so real it looks unreal...la rather convoluted notion but in it's simplicity it holds so much more!

Long time no see. I hope you are doing fine.
I like the clean look of this photo. The two gees surrounded by slightly rippled surface of the lake give the photo a great serene look. I love it how both are looking into the empty space.
