[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was a scene from a passing storm in the northern rockies on our way to the Yukon back in August. Passing storms and emerging sun can make for some great photo ops.
Had to jack up the ISO (to 320) a bit in order to get a high enough shutter speed to make for a sharp hand-held shot with the telelphoto lens.

I love the simplicity of this shot. Great job adjusting to what you had to do to get such a sharp capture.

You've really captured this at the right moment!
Wonderful light and I like the simplicity and the contrast between light and dark! Excellent!

Hi Tim,
Lovely landscape and rainbow. The lighting on the mountain is superb. A nice composition. I did a workshop, have a look. Hope you like it.

Wow, what a view! The light on the rockies is fantastic and the rainbow is an excellent bonus. What a wonderful picture. I have been to British Columbia (and Alberta) in September 2005 and just loved the rockies, they're so impressive. Well done & TFS!

Hi Tim,

I love photos with interesting light, so I like this one. The rainbow is an added bonus.

Thanks for the info you sent re: travelling to BC. The smoke was pretty bad around Chilliwack and awful around Kamloops. We decided to head south to Glacier and Teton. There we found, wind, rain and snow! We had a great trip though, and got a lot of photos. We've been to Banff and Jasper before, just not with a good camera...didn't see much sense in continuing if the air quality was so "iffy".

Fantastic scenery!
I love the contrasting light and the rainbow to top it off! Such great details and exposure. I love the view. Youve mastered these conditions perfectly!
As always, another great picture from you.

Hi Tim,
A very stunning image. The lighting is really beautiful giving the top of the mountain the full attention. It also gives great contrast with the dark sky behind it. Great bonus of the rainbow.
