[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Normally my postings used to be around birds and wildlife. For a change, I am posting something which is above the trees, mountains and sky.

31st July 2015 was a Blue Moon Day (full moon appearing twice within a month). I waited till midnight for the moon to appear above the window. Setting the focus to infinity in my 400mm lens, took this photo and cropped it. The landscape such as its Seas and Craters have come out sharply.

November 14, 2016 is going to be a special day. Moon will be closer to Earth than any other since 1948. The full moon won’t come this close again until 2034. Hence keep an eye and the lens.

Hello Bala,
Like your Moon picture. Well captured with good details even with your 400mm maximum.
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Bala, good capture of the August full moon,a bit oversharpened in PP but still an excellent pic. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hello Bala,
This is one of the better moon photos that I've seen here on TN over the years. Good detail and nice exposure. The only thing I question is the color, the purplish areas seem a bit unnatural.
Ron

Hello Bala,
Beautiful sharp photo of the moon. Maybe a bit to much saturated. But nice to see.
Regards,
Peter
