Hola Janice.
Una planta preciosa que has captado de manera bastante acertada.
Bellos colores, muy suaves, buen DoF.
Un cordial saludo, JL.
i didn't realize that cacti grew in canada! nice shot focus is a little soft and i'd increase contrast a bit but a very interesting subject and good composition with the flower surrounded by spikes

Hi Janice,
An excellent capture of this flower!
I like so much the good POV and details got on the flower.
It's beauty makes a great contrast with the thorns of the cactus.
I like also the composition built.
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

"You need to walk carefully"? You need to sit down even more carefully ;) Believe me, been there, done that! Great colours here on this Alberta Native! Tfs, Jay

Hello Janice,
Sweet light and great composition. I fell in love with cacti when I was staying in Arizona. They come over there in any size and shape. And of course they have different size and shape of the flowers too.
Cheers, Petru

Hi Janice,
It always amazes me how something so unique and prickly like cactus produce such beautiful flowers. You caught some nice soft light here. Beautiful subtle colors and sharp detail. I was also did not know that they survived that far north. Learn someting new every day!

Hi Janice,
this photo is very nice to see as it has been years since I last saw a cactus. It sure can get hot here in Canada and also very cold. Here in Alberta I have experienced +40c down to -40c and I survived and so do these amazingly tough cacti. This photo has very good colour, focus and is cropped nicely,if you could of used f/8 then more of it would have been in focus.Tfs. Hello Janice,
Great shot of the tire biting *&*^%#$%&*()(&((*&^Y prickly-pears. They are pretty this time of year with thier waxy petals of yellow and rose. Thanks for sharing.

Great colours and superb composition! I love this image and I love the fruit that the flower promises (very popular in the Middle East where it is not indigenous but doing exceptionally well)
