My 4th and final in the "snag series" along this particular ridge in the Coquihalla region. Here we are looking north. To the far left you can see a prominent dark granite peak, which is Ibex Peak and is quite popular with climbers.
Just to the right of this snag is Zupjok Ridge with Alpacca Peak. I did a series of photos on this ridge from a winter trip I did up there in May 2006. Slightly further to the right is a cool toothy-like peak which is Vicuna Peak, then Guanaco just slightly to the right of Vicuna.
Interesting peak names you say? Well back in the 40's a surveyor decided to name the mountains in this area after animals that were indigenous to various parts of the world. This particular grouping of peaks got their names from animals, ungulates I believe, who were native to South America.
