[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Well there actually is a name for this tarn, on this trip it became known as the "Tim and Jenn where the heck are you???" tarn, as the two other couples who came up after we did missed our flagging tape and kept heading up the ridge and stopped here; realizing they had missed a turn somewhere.
Fortunately we all had FRS radios so we could direct them back to where they needed to go. You can see three of our group in this photo if you look closely.
This particular area though very scenic is prone to nearly continuous high winds, so camping here isn't very desireable.
A bit of sharpening, clarifying and reduction of highlights, but otherwise this photo is presented as taken.
A tarn, by the way, is a small body of water that has no official inflow or outflow; kind of like an alpine pond.

Hello Tim
surely one of most beautiful landscape than I saw, great shot, cheer,
many thanks for shared

Beautiful shot! Wonderful landscape. I think I shall dig through my archives..nicely done Tim. One question...do you REALLY like the FSR's. I gave up on mine and now use 10 meters handhold's which are 15 watts SSB but travel further due to better frequency. See:

Hi Tim,

Amazing and interesting landscape. Good balance picture and the tarn is a good addition to the composition. Sharp details and nice colors. I can almost fell the fresh air!

Well composed, Tim.
I do like the different triangles in your compo; generating a lot of depth(3D).
Content: very beautiful indeed.
Even the 'missing 3' are found with a beautiful triangle;-)
Well done

Hello Tim,
Beautiful landscape shot with nice composition and lovely colours.
well done.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful...what amazing colors!!!

Hi Tim,
This is simply a stunning image. The overal clarity of the scenery is just amazing especially at such a high altitude. The composition is perfect and the little tarn does make for a great focal point. In regards of sharpness, I think it could have been a bit better, but still the details are clearly visable. (I need to be carefull with mentioning sharpness, my 1:2000 contrast ratio might be part of it)

Hi Tim,

This is lovely...and no visible distortion. This is a classic landscape shot, beautifully balanced with wonderful color, exposure and sharpness. I envy you with such beautiful places to hike almost in your backyard. Looks like the weather was wonderful. No wind evidence in this shot.
