I sure do hope he does well with the coming winter and that your Lucy gets well soon too. This shot is beautiful and there is nothing in the way you presented it or the other techno mumbo-jumbo that needs to be improved,it is wonderful as it is.Thank you so much for giving us this view of Mr Coyote. I can imagine the stress you are feeling. I am glad that you have your photography to help ground you and bring you some peace. The coyote pups were so healthy looking and this one grew up to be a real beauty. I love how his soft color tones with the grasses. It is just a beautiful photograph. A+ : )
I'll be sending good thoughts your way.

Soory i've missed you previous post and therefore the note regarding your wife's condition...Please accept my apologizes and my honest best wishes for her and you, too!
I'm glad though that you are still in touch with your passion - photography, even in these hard times. I can only imagine how great it is to meet this fellow again after seeing him as a pup and watching him grow up all summer.
The shot itself is terrific, with impressive details and showing this amazing "concentrated" pose from the coyote. You did excellent to capture that look in his eyes!
Spot-on exposure and nice softly saturated autumn colors.
Bravo, TFS and again best wishes!

I'm glad you took the time for us on TN with so much on your plate . I hope your wife gets well soon , and you take care as well . This shot is great . I wish I could get this close to the Coyotes around our place , but they are very shy .

I am sorry to read that your wife is in the hospital. I do hope all is well and that a speedy recovery is there.
Your photo is a beauty. The detials you captured in his coat and the catchlight in the eyes are amazing. He looks really healty looking at his wet nose and shiny coat. I really like the fact that his coat has the same color as the grass giving him the perfect camoflage to hide in. My only remark is that I would have like to see a bit more space on the bottom of the photo.

Great capture of this coyote and you were very lucky to see him so close. Very good sharpness and focus.
the colour of his pelt gives him a good camouflage with his surroundings.

Hi Rick, I really do envy you Canadians for the diversity of wildlife you have there. So many interesting mammels and my favourite, wolfs and Coyotes. This is a superb shot, so crisp and sharp with great detail on this beautiful young Coyote. I love the pov showing slight profile on the face showing those wonderful eyes, which are fixed on something out of frame. Perfect focus with good light and perfect exposure. Excellent.

This is super. How I missed this gem is beyond me...well really I understand how,I have been swamped trying to reply to critiques ,and the only real way to catch up is not to post, and that is hard for me.LOL.
This coyote is beautiful.the focus is tack sharp.
The illumination is wonderful, and the colours are well saturated.
You can clearly see how the coyote's colouration helps her hide in this grass.
Wonderful POV and DOF.
