Ah, you know my weekness for squirrels. Wonderful shot with perfect focus on the eye. As I remarked in one of your earlier photos, IMO you have a talent to keep on the subject, while making the shot more interesting with a complex outline of branches. Another favorite!

l'année dernière quand j'ai commencé à photographier les écureuils
j'ai vu que face au danger ils se tenaient mimétiques
et ne bougés pas du tout, c'est ce qu'il est entrain de faire
dans ta photo et que tu nous explique dans tes notes

Hello Marie,
a nice portrait of this scared squirrel.
+++ The POV is just excellent and you've composed this photo very well.
It's very sharp and there is fine detail in the fur.
I love the pose with one of its hands scrunched into a small fist.
--- There is some OE on the left side but I can see the threat of UE if you had notched the exposure down so I think you've done a pretty good job at it :)

En plus ils ont le don de se placer pour être, à la fois, à l'ombre et au soleil... comme le tien! cependant la lumière est excellente et on y voit bien tous les détails! Hi Marie, this is a very cute little Squirrel, he looks a little our Red Squirrels but with sorter coat. Nice catch and pov showing his eyes and bushy tails. I like the light and colours, detail and sharpness, well focused and a great composition.

I can clearly see why you titled this photo "Scared squirrel”. The small ears are pulled in against its head, and it seems as if it is holding on for dear life on the branch. He/she surely have a worried look on its face, but even so this is still such a petite and tiny animal. I just love the olive shaped eye, circled with white. The white belly is also a great attraction but what I like the most is the large, long whiskers, the tiny nose the mouse shaped face and last but not the least that beautiful thick tail. Thanks for sharing. Have an enjoyable weekend.
