[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Grizzly Bear was having a good soak in Fish Creek Lagoon in September. He looks like a lonely guy in a hot tub. Sorry for the short note but I'm tired and on call not a good mix, with the storm we're having.

Hello Rick

Bears really seem to love the water. This bath scene is wonderful.
The colours are natural and rich. The lighting is well handled, and the texture of the fur shows well.
I really like the jumbo ripples around the grizzly.
Excellent POV.He doesn't even seem to know,(or care) that you are there.

Hi Rick.

Lovely composition, I really like the colour of the water. The droplets falling from the bear's nose are excellent. Great timing and capture.

Hi Rick

I feel a little sad for this fellow - having a relaxing time in such a lovely big bath and no female to join him :))
This is a great shot, my friend and one of this terrific subject - the infamous Grizzly.
The pose in which you've captured it is excellent and i particularly like the small drops of water falling from his snout :)
The ripples on the water are also great and add to the overall composition.
Well done!

Bravo and TFS

Hi Rick,
the effect of the ripples on the water creates a truly beautiful backdrop for this fella here, what a peaceful and lovely scene this must have been. another wonderful natural moment caught by you my friend, well done!

Hi Rick,
I'm ashamed I couldn't reciprocate to your earlier critiques on my work on time. Sorry!

Images such as this one of a Grizzly having a soak bring alive the ambience of your country. I remember teaching a real-life story to my senior pupils many years ago in which a Grizzly attacks a couple and mauls the brave boy very badly when he tries to ward the bear off the girl.
This guy here looks so harmless and innocent.
Thanks for sharing this lovely picture and best regards.

Seems as though you have caught the grizzly off guard. It isn't looking as ominously at you if it were say in another time and place. So at least you are safe from your location...I am assuming it is in captivity. Do you also have the Grizzly in great numbers up in Alberta or are they dwindling? A fascinating character study.

I reckon he wanted you to scrub his back!! superb shot, great presentation...

Hi Rick,

We are so jealous of your visit to Stewart. I think he is meditating and quite content.... certainly not bothered by you. I find the OE background a little distracting though I appreciated including some of the setting. I tried cropping it to put more attention on the bear.

Salut Rick,
Belle photo avec de belle couleurs. J'aime bien le WS de Eveline.

Hi Rick,
I can relate to your being tried as I work six days a week and wish I could reply and critique more photos than I do.I like the light and colour in this capture and those water drops coming off of the bears nose is a nice detail.A clean and well captured photo of an animal I have yet to get a photo of.Tfs.I have tried a workshop photo with my take on a different presentation of your wonderful bear. Bob

Hi Rick,
I couldent resist this shot as I only see bears on tele.Very well composed photo with this solitary bear washing down. The bear moving seems to have made a nice rippling effect.Dangerous and yet so placid looking.
