[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
hello, for my yesterdays photo Bob (Eqshannon)
on his critique writted me this too :

« i think you like the Wood duck.
I am starting to warm up to them myself,
seeing as yours and others images
are the first I have seen...»

i kno that Bob loves the photos
on black & white (grayscale tone)
i love too, but when i don't love
the colour composition of a photo
it is at that moment i convert the colour image
on to a grayscale tone photography

but Bob gived me the love of
the black & white and today a photo that
even if i like the colour composition
i'll convert it in to a black & white

but it is not the case for this photo,
this one i wasn't liking his colour composition
so i decided to convert it in to a old garyscale tone
by a duotone colours in Photoshop

and because Bob write me that the wood duck
photos in TN are the first one he is seeing,
so my very best friend Bob i dedicate for you
this photo of a wood duck in grayscale tone,
and Bob i think that i am broking the rules
presenting this beautiful colourful bird
on a black & white tone

i would like to finish my Photographer's Note
by talking about the professionnel
photographer and filmmaker Martyn Colbeck

i saw for a second time his documentary
on the elephants of Africa, in his documentary
he was saying that he films the elephants
in colours but he prefer and love better
to photographe them in black & white

soory for this 2 links but you have
to copy and paste it, go see it

in this page click on the video
to see some parts of his film in colour
and his photographys in black & white

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/unforgettable/

and in this link here go see his superb
in differnt black & white tones elephant photos

Hi Asbed

A lovely composition and dedication- the stray branches add a touch of lightness to the scene.

Best wishes

The duotone conversion gives this one a great look Ashbed, I like it.
Artfully composed..It turned out well :)

I think at first glance..what strikes me first, beyond the mention of me, and the black and white...is the composition. There is something about the way you used this for thecolour tones which really make it a dynamic image. It is one of those I think I shall be coming back to...
I am not familiar with the science of composition as it is taught. I only know what is good for me when I see it...and this is just how I would have pictured it....the simplicity of the bird ...yet it sticks out well without a deep blue sky or some such...and the creatively simple perch angled in at an exact location. You seem to be gaining an eye for some things...and it is working well...so needless to say I am happy. And beyond that I thank you very much. When I am feeling good, then many feel good...and so one...I wish we could have world peace such as this TN yes?

L'oiseau dont les couleurs que je commence à savoir. ..but sa conception dans la nature est beaucoup plus. Vous avez fait un beau travail !

Hi Asbed,

This is such a beautiful composition!! Even in black and white the Wood Duck is beautiful. The pose on the branch is wonderful. Nice sharp details. I'm sure Bob loved it.

Jane

chapeau bas mon ami,
Pat

Salut Asbed, j'aime bien l'effet que le noir et blanc donne à cette photo, la composition est très réussie et le côté technique est irréprochable, bravo et merci!
