|HI folks , todays photo is another older one , taken last year , on the same day as my 'Calm Morning' photograph. during my trek around that pond I came across this butterfly in a clearing. Other than the pond this was the only thing that would stay still long enough to get a decent photo :-)|
I am not positive as to the ID of this one , but I think it is called a Fritillary , perhaps a Meadow Fritillary.
though I could have cropped a bit closer in, I elected to leave a goodly portion of the wildflower in this one.
