This Nuthatch was so brave as to pick up seeds from my wife's hand, same as the Chickadees in this area. The photo was good enough to be cropped to this portrait.
How far I was? Probably at 2.5m


White-breasted Nuthatch
Sitta carolinensis Order PASSERIFORMES - Family SITTIDAE

A common bird of deciduous forests and wooded suburbs, the White-breasted Nuthatch can be seen hopping headfirst down the trunks of trees in search of insect food. It frequents bird feeders and takes sunflower seeds off to the side of a tree, where it wedges them into a crevice and hammers them open.

Description
Large nuthatch; creeps headfirst down tree trunks.
Dark gray or black cap.
Bright white face and underparts.
Blue-gray upper parts.
Long bill either straight or slightly upturned.

Size: 13-14 cm (5-6 in)
Wingspan: 20-27 cm (8-11 in)
Weight: 18-30 g (0.64-1.06 ounces)

Hi Mario. This is a very fine close up of the White Nuthatch. Which you have taken with fine detai land sharp focusing. Natural colours. good eye contacts. well done TFS.

Well! I think this may be the same bird I was lucky to shoot a few days later than you. This is a fantastic spot for taking pictures of birds and landscape...

This photo is really a beauty, superb, beautiful luminosity with lovely color tones, great sharpness and details of the image, I have very similar(same bird and area) but, not as nice as this shot, which is why I posted a different view completely. Great picture.
