Hi Evelynn
It is good to see you again on TN. Another beautiful landscape in your gallery. I like the 3 dimensional effect here and composition. Sharpness, colors, exposure - everything look great. And finnaly last but not least beautiful place

I really know nothing about lenses and filters (I'd like to learn, though), Evelynn, but I do know what looks beautiful!
;)
I love the overall composition, the frame takes in quite a bit.The trees in the FG make a lovely, almost majestic, statement. The fact that you lost the real colour of the water by a small margin, kinda makes this look like a painting. This place looks so pristine, untouched by man...
You've got an awesome canvass in here, sis!
Take a bow, you've out done yourself with this one!
Have a blast this WE!

Wow, a homage to me.....I am flattered.
Its great to see you gave the 10 stop ND filter a try and immediately with the combination of the CP to fight the reflections. It really shows that you put lots of thought into the technical part of it. I like how the movement is captured in the clouds and how it turned this glacier lake in a misty state. I am impressed that you got this result with only one exposure, although I can see that you had o brighten the trees in your PP. The view is wondeful and the composition is a pleasure to look at. Do take great care of hot pixels, because they show up when you exposure for such a long time. There is one red pixel visible in the shadow of the mountain.
TFS,
Niek

Hy Evelynn
It is a strange impression that this picture gives to me: is like two different parts, one somehow "below" the water, is like you will be able to see in the water. Maybe beacuse the lake is so calm and uniform and blue. And the other world in representing by the mountais bove the water, maybe beacuse are farther, in the bg. This is the optical ilusion that I have over your picture.
My kind regards, Oana

Hi Evelynn,
A very interesting piece of work My Dear, everything except the water looks marvelous. The water is probably my problem because as you know I have seen this recently. Evelynn by the date on the taken spot you left the day we arrived, (*^$#$%.

Hi Evelynn
Aaa...i lived to see this: TL's intentionally long exposure :))
This is actually a very nice shot from you and hopefully the start for some very intriguing experiments :)
I really like the composition here, first of all. The trees in the FG are lovely and act like arrows for the lovely mountains and on top. There is a bit of halo around them but i think the exposure correction on them was worth it...plus it can be removed, so no big deal.
The lack of reflection which Niek referred to is indeed interesting, too, but i think works here because it accentuates the long shutter effect.
Finally, the motion in the clouds that tops it all....lovely!
Overall, a pleasure!
Bravo and TFS

Hello Evelynn
Beautiful and calm landscape , i like those Christmas trees in the FG while the mountains there complete the 3D feeling.
Best Regards
Maged
