[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A close up of a clouded sulpher on clover. They have the biggest green eyes I have ever seen on a butterfly.

Wingspan 40-50 cm.
They are always found in the vicinity of legumes such as sweet clover, alfalfa and vetch. There are probably three broods per year, beginning in mid-May and persisting until October, with the first brood of the next year overwintering as pupae. They are open country butterflies.

BUTTERFLIES OF ALBERTA-John Acorn.
