|hi folks , today I found this black-capped chickadee that had an interest in a tree cavity. at first I thought it had found some food there , but looking at the photo afterwords with its beak filled with what looks like wood chips I imagine that it was actually making the hole ready for nesting...|
thanks for having a look

Hi Art,this is a very nice looking photo of my favourite little bird doing exactly what you say in your note and that is cleaning out the hole in the tree for to make it's nest.I have seen chickadees always doing that at this time of year and I look forward to them doing so.The details are sharp and the colour is spot on and if you had stopped down a wee bit more the tail would of been even more sharply delineated.I like this photo and hope to get some nest cleaning shots myself. The woodpeckers do these little "dees" a real service by making the holes that they make their homes in.Thanks for sharing the little guy with us as I'm rather fond of them.

What a fabulous shot of this Black-capped chickadee with a mouth full of wood chippings,
great sharpness and feather texture here Art, I really like the pose as if he's stopped what he is doing to check things out,
Lovely lighting and wonderful natural colours, great job and well done my friend,
