[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
With a week until Mother's Day I thought I would show you a wild mothers dedication as well. This Great Horned Owl has been sitting on her nest for about a month already with out moving even in the storms that pass through Alberta in the spring bringing heavy snow and rain at times. Denis "dmark 11" has shown another dedicated mother as well today a Canada Goose. Spring is great in our province of Alberta.

Hello Rick
You had a very good point of view to catch that beautiful own at eye level. Sharp image wit a good light and a perfect composition.
Nicely done

Hi Rick, nice to see this great horned owl and I have some shots of them as well this year with a female looking very unhappy on her nest,a nest that was ringed with snow.I like the colour of this image and the tack sharp focus you have on her eyes. These owls are amazing as I know of no other bird that makes it's nest so early in the year and sits on in it even in snow storms.A fine photo with a pov that is typical of owl nests,a keeper and thank you for sharing her with us.

Bob in sunny High River.
