Hello friends, this photo was
shot exactly 6 years ago on
April 1 2007, it is a souvenir
with Celtick my first grouse dog.

I took a walk with Celtick on a small
wood at one kilometer north of my home,
when we arrived this hawk was already
perched high on the tree, he start to look
to Celtick like here, I have few shots like
that looking to Celtick that I posted one
of them after Celtick died in mid-April 2009
as a souvenir photo with Celtick.

the first photo of that series

I was with my Fujifilm bridge camera,
I doubled my 300mm zoom that became
a 600mm digital zoom, and doubling
the zoom did that I lost on the image
quality a little bit, I also give a
cropping to remove from the branches.

from the All About Birds website

« A tiny hawk that appears in a blur
of motion—and often disappears in a flurry
of feathers. That’s the Sharp-shinned Hawk,
the smallest hawk in North America and a daring,
acrobatic flier. These raptors have distinctive
proportions: long legs, short wings, and very
long tails, which they use for navigating their deep-woods homes at top speed in pursuit of
songbirds and mice. They’re easiest to spot
in fall on their southward migration,
or occasionally at winter feeders. »

Hello Asbed,

Lovely light on this Sharp-shinned hawk and very nice prototypical perch for this bird of prey lurking in the apple tree. I appreciate the pov and profile-displaying features of this majestic bird. Well executed, well captured!

Hello Asbed,
The Sharp-shinned Hawk is a species not often seen on TN.
The pose with the head turned was well taken with good clarity in difficult lighting.
Such pictures can remind us of the situation and that you had a good friend with you like Celtick was!
Thanks and have a good week,

Ciao Asbed, great capture of lovely hawk in nice pose, wonderful colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hello sir ...
Really nice pic ..
with fine sharpness and good details ... .Nice POV ...the focus on the eyeof bird is really good even that it is in shadowy region ..Thanks for sharing this pic with us ...

Hello Asbed,
A different pose which is not favorable to a photographer. But you have done your job very well. From where you have captured this, from that place subject's head portion must cover by body. But you got a fraction of time and you clicked. As a result we got this beautiful picture. So credit goes to you Asbed.Well done.
Thanks for sharing,
Kind regards,

Despite the difficult conditions a nice photo with good composition and good sharpness.

Hello Asbed.
Nicely closed on this hawk from dorsal pov. The head turn showing the eye and beak is stunning against the blue sky.

very nice moment Asbed, against the difficult situation nice approach!
best regards Nasos

Good capture but it seems the image is a bit noisy may be due to sharpening.
