The Red Fox Sparrow is a New World Sparrow.

I believe this is a male and female Fox Sparrow. I was fortunate to find both in one location.

A large sparrow that often feeds on the ground and under dense thickets. This sparrow has many beautiful songs a treat to listen to.

Nesting sites are often on the ground with up to 5 eggs that are pale green to greenish white and are heavily blocked with reddish brown. Occasionally nesting in trees or subs but never more than eight feed off the ground. Both parent care and feed their young with insects and seeds.

Don't know how I missed this beautiful shot. Lovely couple as they sit side by side in an attractive composition. Rich colors and sharply focused displaying excellent detail and just the right amount of exposure. I really like the bold rust colored markings on the males breast. Well done!!
