Hello Janice,
What a gorgeous species of Orchid you have posted today. I love it's unique shape and bright vivid color. I have never seen this little beauty before, but hopefully someday I will just as you did. Focus is sharp showing excellent detail and exposure is right on the money. Great work!!

Hello Janice,
Beautiful Orchid, this Pink Lady Slipper. I knew this Orchid, although in India where I lived, isn't a place where Orchid grows. Well captured. Nice POV with good details.
Before I click, I first look at BG if anything disturbing BG or not. If disturbing aliments.....I change my angle. Another thing, and to me most important, is not to hesitate to frame the subject in vertical frame if you see the subject is in such shape. Just opinion.....
Thanks for sharing with informative NOTE,
Regards,
Srikumar

Hi Janice,
a most unusual discovery of an exquisite pink lady's slipper that you have so luckily made in Newfoundland.
I like seeing it emerging so refreshingly clear in the low natural light of its habitat in dense forests.
With thanks, and best regards,
Peter

Hi Janice,
I'm not sure if you're still here, but I hope you are. This is a nice raw material, but IMHO you didn't work on PP enough. I think a vertical composition with cropping a lot from the left would suit the subject better (I literally agree with Srikumar), and selective sharpening might be done on the flower itself as it's a little bit out of focus. Background's also noisy a bit. So, this capture is "good, but...". Don't be afraid of using PP, its purpose is removing the "but".
Kind regards from Ireland, László
