Hi Pieter,
that's a wonderful view, a little mystic but so beautiful. I love this reflection in the quiet lake, it's even more sharp than the original above. Excellent, thanks

Hi Pieter, Its a wonderful mountain scene with v good foreground detail and many layers. Love the reflection and cloud that hovers over the lake. Snow-capped mountains make the perfect backdrop. You should carry a grad Grey filter to compensated for the bright sky. I use Cokin ND8 Grad Filter and because of the ultra wide lens dont use a holder but simply hold it in-front of lens. 7/10 Very fine work.

Hi Pieter !
I don't have enough time to write a decent comment ;) but the big smiley is, no doubt, well deserved here :)
//Superb shot, very clear and beautiful. The reflection looks great. I just wish there was more sky visible on a water surface//

Great landscape you captured here. Interesting composition, basically dividing the frame into 4 horizontal sections. The clouds in the sky are overexposed, but the reflection in the water is great. Nice!

Nice shot Pieter,
The reflection is awesome. The low cloud is a great touch. Just the OE high clouds which distract a bit.
Nice title link to the film. Thanks fo rposting, have a good week.

Succes!

Hi Pieter,
Beautiful landscape shot. All the elements look great. Reflections, colors, details, are all right on the money here. Nice Work!

Wow, what a mirror! Apart from the glary sky it's come out real well Pieter. The misty cloud over the lake gives it quite a strange look, quite mystical. (Yeah misty - mystical!)
That movie - I remember seeing it on TV a few times and could NEVER sit and watch it through.

Hi Pieter, today I'll hit you hard ;-) Almost all is superb in your picture - especially composition with DOF and details. Idea is also great. But something is wrong with exposure. I know - it was very hard to take with contrast between sky and water, but unfortunatelly clouds are OE :-( What do you think about drastical cropping to show only bottom part of picture with reflection on water? Anyway 2pts for all except OE ;-)

What a beautiful and interesting landscape with mountains as I like ;-) The reflection is great. Congratulations Pieter and thanks for sharing with us.
I can only concur with what has already been said. I tried a WS using a ND grad action in PS for the bright BG. Please tel me what you think.

Hi Pieter,
What a view, Dude!!!
I would love to go over there one day and shoot my head off, not my real head. LOL
Excellent shot and well done on the composition.
You had to gain and lose on this one, unfortunately, you blew out the sky. A polarizer can remedy beautiful landscapes like this. Also, careful with the centering of the horizon line.
Excellent work my friend.

Beautiful view, beautiful scene. The lake and mountains are well exposed. The sky is overexposed and there is a blue cast spot in the foreground snow. Double exposure and a little work in photoshop could have solve this exposure problem. I never tried it myself but read the trick in many magazine articles.
I like your 3 fold composition. Rock in the foreground, water in the middle and mountain/sky in the background.

Hi Pieter
It's a shot of 2 halves. The bottom is stunning with the pretty reflection and sharp rocks. The top half is overshadowed by the overexposed clouds. Maybe cropping them out would have helped.

Pieter, what a pity the top part of the picture. By using a tripod, two pictures could have been taken. On Photoshop, they would become one. That's nice to do in this kind of shot, but it's not always one has a tripod - I seldom have one.
The bottom part is very beautiful. I like its sharpness and colors. Great pov and composition too.

Hi Pieter,
LOL at your description of the movie, this is perfect for your movietitles theme. Wonderful composition and colors, my only nit is that the clouds on the left seem blown but I wouldn't know how to correct the exposure. I love the spot of blue sky reflected in the lake near the rocks.
TFS,
Alli
What a stunning scene Pieter the reflections are beautiful, the sky looks over exposed on my screen, 2 ideas, one to crop the image some where in the cloud layer and just enjoy the reflection or try selecting the sky and altering the levels and selective use of the burntool with a very soft edged brush to try and reveal hidden details. TFS great to see such stunning scenes from your trip, I am just not geting the time to comment as i maybe should.

Another busy night so not much time to do an indepth critique, sorry, but I do like what I see very much. Nicely composed. Good sharpness and detail. Shame the cloud is OE. Thanks.

I know you won't mind me saying this, Pieter....;)
What could be a truly stunning photo is spoiled by an overexposed sky. It's crying out for a grey grad filter! The reflection of the sky is just fantastic, it's just a shame the top is not.
Did you know, until 5 minutes ago, we had the same number of posts at 77?!

Dag Pieter,
Groeten;-)
Annick
