Hello friends, this American woodcock photo in-flight
was taken few hundred meters from my previous
2 photos of the Wilson's snipe.

Here I succeeded my in-flight photo becausethis woodcock
went to the sky in his flight, I missed the photos of the Snipe
because it stayed at men level in the cover, I could not do
a good focus of it, but the one taking off from the ground
I think it is well focused.

This woodcock was first searched then found by
its nose and then pointed by my pointing dog.

1/4000s f/5.6 ISO1000 85mm (35mm eq:127mm).

« American Woodcocks are plump, short-legged shorebirds
with very long, straight bills. Their large heads, short necks,
and short tails give them a bulbous look on the ground and in flight.
The wings are broad and rounded compared to most other shorebirds. »

Merci.

Very good clarity in this take-off image, Asbed.
The blue winter sky with barren branches in the foreground makes a good backdrop for the composition.
Thanks.

Hello Asbed,
A nice inflight shot of this timberdoodle. Focus is sharp and colors are well saturated yet natural. I like the light blue sky as a BG. Looks like you had a bright sunny day, very good exposure!

Hi Asbed, difficult location between the branches but a perfect DOF and exposure for very very good details, one of the most common birds of your gallery but always nice to see in a fresh capture. Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

Ciao Asbed, great capture of lovely inflight woodcock, splendid clarity, good details and wonderful colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Bonjour Asbed,

L'arbre et les branches cadrent bien l'oiseau. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la Bécasse d'Amérique en vol. La bonne luminosité met en valeur la beauté des couleurs. Bonne journée.

Pierre
