Rocky Mountain Sunset
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|THE CANADIAN ROCKIES WEST OF COCHRANE.|
I went for a walk and had to snap a few shots of this sunset. Silhouetted are the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, not far from my house. The round top mountain is called Devils Head. There's nothing evil about the mountain, it just is a rounded mountain if looking west from Cochrane. On the left side of Devils Head (looking like it's attached) is Black Rock Mountain, I've climbed that mountain. It takes a good 3 hours to get to the top. And what a view when you get to the top. There is a old abandonden Fire Tower on top of Black Rock that the local chipmunks use for shelter.

Ton coucher de soleil dans les rocheuses est très bien réussi aussi.
Tu nous fais voir les rocheuses au loin avec de jolies couleurs dans ce joli ciel.
Merci et a la prochaine....JP
You caught the rockies quite well here Janice, as the fading glow of the sun highlights the distant peaks nicely.
Muted sunset colours, quite typical of more Northern locations and places with low air pollution!
Lovely patterns of cloud formations, the mountains in a distance work nicely to add depth to the capture...
Nice landscape. A place full of nature. I like the cloud formation and mountains rage in distance. TFS
What a BEAUTY. I, too, have been there.
You have captured: " Pollution Free " Alberta.
Those clouds mesmerize my person.
Great job. Love it.
Best regards from Calgary,
Very nice composition.
Excellent sharpness, color, POV and DOF (is a true 3D).
