ROCKY MOUNTAIN BIG HORN SHEEP
Ovis Canadensis

The Big Horn Sheep were grazing on the side of a hill on a warm September morning when I captured this shot. I zoomed in as far as I could but still had to crop the photo to show the Big Horn close up. The lighting is a bit harsh and I lost some resolution by cropping. The grass is starting to turn yellow, I'm sure there has been a few frosty cold nights in the mountains.

Nicely done, Janice. Good job with the zoom and crop, he's a good size. Yes, the shot is a bit backlit, and that makes it harder to see the detail on his face, but with wild critters that just what you have to live with' besides, the lighting makes the grasses stand out nicely.

The new camera opens new doors. Morning light is a problem. exellent capture ... the light from the side is difficult to handle ..

I think you capture the fur quite well in spite of the hard light, nice sharpness and good details!

Basically a good shot of this Big horn but the lighting is difficult and if you apply the rule of thirds it's not quite right so I've tried a workshop, but I'm afraid it's hard to improve.
