Crow
This bird is partially migratory, it is of the same family as the blackbird, the Raven, the magpie , the jay , and also the rook and the jackdar of Europe. The common crow in America is a round 19 in. long, with a wingspan of over 3 ft.

They often eat other birds eggs and nestlings and grain, but also destroyed many harmful insects and rodents. In the winter these birds gather at night some in as many as eight thousand or more in communal roosts. They can be easily tamed and learned to mimic some human sounds.

There throaty 'caww' is familiar , although they can produce a musical warble . The fish Crow of the Atlantic's and Gulf coasts is smaller than the common crow . The carrion crow of Great Britain is a flesh eating bird its size is longer at 18 to 20 in. long.

I took this photo under dthe snow from the window inside my house because this bird is very difficult to approcch them.

TFS,
Arnaud.

Bonjour Jeanpaul,
Superbly capturing this crow under snow falling condition. Slower shutter speed really works, able to capture trace of the fallen snowflake. Nicely done.

There is a small noise problem but interesting to see it under rain. It look like raining cause of this exposure speed.

Hello Jeanpaul,
Poor bird under cold snow. It also looks soaking wet. Very nice picture to see. Pov, dof, exposure are great. Regards,
JC

Beautiful shot . I rely like the whole "feel" of the shot. Are you sure that you didnt take that photo here on the west coast where it rains all winter?
The exposure is great with just enough lag to trail the rain drops.
Bravo

Allo Jean-Paul,
Merci,
Claudine

Hi Jeanpaul,

Well captured under the circumstances, but you get allways nice effects when shooting in rain or snow, well done and TFS

Paul

Salut JP,
Not the best weather for this crow. He really doesn't look happy at all. Considering it was shot through a window, the quality is excellent.

Hi Jeanpaul

What a very nice amd moody picture!
The crow looks so abandoned there in the snow :(
But the shot is excellent, containing all the natural elements: animal, BG made of plants and weather.
Excellent POV and lighitng, good DOF and details, well framed and composed.

Bravo and TFS
horia

Great capture, JP! I think this bird looks incredibly cold, as I would if it were already snowing here. We still have fantastic weather, sunny and in the high 60s!

Great composition and POV.

Alli

Hello JP,
I had to smile when opening this... That pose is so funny, and expressing very well the bird's attitude to the snow!
Great capture...

Hi Jean!
In my country crows and ravens are concidered to be evil birds or evil signs, but I always found them fascinating and in books they're always smart and poverfull, Great photo, this one looks smart and humanlike almost like its watching me,I love the raindrops motion lines!

Hi JP,
Wow, despite of the rain, this crow looks so strong. Great capture!
Greetings,
Vanilla

Génial. On en voit pas souvent de cette nature là.
C'est bien à mon goût. ***

Very nice picture Jeanpaul. I love the snow coming down, showing so well with the right DOF you have. A very whimsical poetic shot. The crow's got a wonderful impish look. You've framed it perfectly and it's got the finest lighting. Well done! TFS Trevor
