Found in old fields, roadsides, and waste places.
Only a few flower heads open at a time, and each one lasts only a day.
June to October.
Closely related to Chicory, is the plant Endive [C. endivia], used for salads.

Hi Roy,

Chicory is one of my favorite flowers, maybe cuz I sure like chicory in my morning coffee. I see it growing wild beside the road where I live.

You did a beautiful job with this shot! Presentation and composition is very artistic!
