well if this is real..its collossal..the mountains seem bigger with the forest and road in the foreground
that is earthshattering sharp as well..

So beautiful! Excellent detail! Very nice!
This one makes me kick myself for not taking any pictures when I was in Alaska in the early eighties...;-( I think you nailed the quality...;-) A hint of fall colors, clouds in a blue sky, sun light on the mountain... all very nice in my book!

Majestic is a word that comes to mind.
Grandeur? Purple Mountain Majesties?
Though I usually prefer no human signs in a picture, I have to admit that the road here does give a sense of scale... which is awesome.
I really like the composition, though I cannot tell you why.
The light is very nice as well.

Hi Evelynn,
What a very impressive photo. The DOF and lighting in this photo are really beautiful. Your selective PP work gave the photo a kind of 3-D effect. On the one hand this is great, but on the other hand it does show the PP work. Maybe if you made the curve on the bottom a little steeper and on the top a little more flat, the difference between the tree line and the mountain is less visable.
Anyway, the view is spectacular and the mountian is just impressive. I also like that you included the road in this photo, since it is a strong leadline.

I think the problem is that you have to think hard when there are things like poles, cables and people in the way and that is probably why you get the best pictures then. I'm the opposite - I just want to get away from the people....

As for the picture. It is beautiful, great detail and shaprness wonderful exposure and composition and all the hallmarks of an excellent picture. even the road is not too distracting.

It seems that the further south you go in Canada, the more abrupt is the rise of the Rockies from the flat Praries.
I still think this shot has good composition between the road, trees and distant mountians thrusting intot he air. I like the contrast also from vibrant fall colour to distant tones of blue and green in the mountains.

I really like the quality of light and the limited range of colors. The way the trees stand out against teh background is almost unreal.
