Hi Jay,
Great ice formations!
Very good the light reflections on the ice, and the couple of glares, specially the colorful one at the top.
I like a lot the composition made with all that elements.
Congratulations and thanks for share.
My best regards,
JM
Cool Jay :)
I like the crystal ship, filled with hot air :)
Reminds me of that metallic blue 327 Camaro with crager mags back in 67 and the 8 track..You remember,
"The crystal ship is being filled
A thousand girls, a thousand thrills
A million ways to spend your time
When we get back, I'll drop a line"
LATER MF.
Hi Jay
I got to run to work right now, but I'll be back...
OK, so you did it. I definitively got to give you 10/10 + 1 for neatness for this "out-of-the-box" thinking and great capture of the phenomenon of AIR. I said before (when you started with your "Ode to: Fire, Earth, Air, & Water" series that, "You will have a tough time trying to capture 'Air', but I am sure your ingenious mind will be able to come up with some original representation" and obviously you did not disappoint me. Very well done.
Your question, "Can you tell from which side the solar fire is coming?" is actually very easy. It comes from above i.e. the top side (chuckle).
Regards
Loot
PS. I quickly took the liberty to write this from work, which I don't normally do or fancy, but I just wanted to finish off what I started at home.

Hi Jay,
that's beautiful, I love to see the air-bubbles inside the ice and there are so nice reflections from the light behind.
Thanks and greetings

Hi Jay
Excellent macro shot on these ice cicles. Great detail showing the trapeed air bubbles inside. The nice specular highlights from the sun add a nice touch.

Hi Jay,
Nice capture and as Loot said I was wondering about the air, well there it is captured for everyone to see, and soon to be set free. Oh Oh now you have me doing it. The light is from the right, Oh no all day, I will play, stop.
Rick
Hi Jai.
I like your ability to see unusual into common things. You are really a poet (at photography and as note writer. Interesting subject and nice realization of own creative plans. My compliments and TFS.

Hi Jay,
So you did it. Like most of the others I also thought you bit off more than you could chew with representing air. You certainly proved us all wrong. Very well done with this great shot.

Very good shot, with a GREAT POV!!
Your nose must have gotten cold to be so
close to the icicles!!
You've done another great macro and your
notes were wonderful!!

When icicles hang by the wall,
And Dick the shepherd blows his nail.
And Tom bears logs into the hall,
And milk comes frozen home in pail,
When blood is nipp’d and ways be foul,
Then nightly sings the staring owl,
To-whit!
To-who!—a merry note
