Here is a female Californian hummingbird (Calypte anna) resting on the tip of an Agave catus, in the background you can see the adobe walls of a Mexican hacienda, it does not get more of a Southwest clichee than this.
A very small but very pretty bird, they are the largest of the southwest hummingbirds ( or "colibri" in Spanish and most other languages of the world).

foarte dragut! imi place compozitia. am impresia ca imaginea expusa e o mica parte dintr-o imagine mai mare, reiesind din datele obiectivului utilizat (24-85mm). din aceasta cauza, cred, si focusarea nu e chiar la nivel. sau nu am dreptate? in orice caz, as fi mandru sa fac si eu o poza cu colibri! merci.
