In Xcaret Mayan Orchid Greenhouse you will have the opportunity to see 25 hybrid plants and 89 of the 105 species endemic to this Xcaret Mayan region.
Nowadays, more than 615 orchid species are endangered in Mexico. The main threat to these beautiful Xcaret Mayan Orchids is the loss of their natural habitat due to the destruction of forests for agricultural purposes.
In Xcaret Mayan Orchid Greenhouse we are proud to contribute to the reproduction and conservation of Xcaret Mayan orchid species as a means of preserving our rich Mayan heritage.

I am a newcomer in plants photography so all feedback are welcome :)
If anyone knows the name of this orchid - please let me know.

Hi Sandrine - this is a beautiful picture - I love the softness of the colour. I am only just starting to play with different effects in photography, so please feel free to ignore me, but I think I might have tried a smaller aperture and longer exposure to produce more depth?
