[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The gray whale (Eschrichtius robustus) is a baleen whale that migrates between feeding and breeding grounds yearly.
It reaches a length of 15 meters, a weight of 36 tonnes and lives between 55 and 70 years.
The migration of the gray whale is the longest ever brought about by any other mammal. They travel 12000 kilometres from the Bering seas until Baja California wich takes them three months at an average depth of 50 meters and a speed of 8 kilometers per hour approximately.
