Metamorfosis
Another picture with more details about this unknown insect. The insect was moving, and to make noise with the leaves, perhaps eating leaves or biting something or, maybe, it was only the sound of his paws. The insect to be immobile when perceiving my presence.
The anatomy of the caterpillar can be visualized in a graph in the inferior part of this page:

Hola Ninfa.
Ah pero que cosa mas rara de oruga, me gusta los tonos y contrastes de esta toma, los verdes profundos asi como la perspectiva de el insecto.
Saludos...RICARDO.

That is a very sharp capture of this fascinating caterpillar, Ninfa. This one is a master of camouflage, looking like a bird turd on a plant to avoid predators. I would really like to know what it grows up to be.
Well done and TFS. : )

Excellent macro Ninfa!
Who would have thought?
I'm with Manyee here, "I would really like to know what it grows up to be."
Thanks for sharing,
Dave
Lovely detailed shot.

Hi, maybe you'd like to know that it's the larva of Giant Swallowtail butterfly, Papilio cresphontes. Nice camouflage indeed, I think it mimicks bird's droppings or something like that...
