The Cedar Waxwing is the one bird that seems to always be neatly attired. Its plumage is perfectly groomed without a feather being out of place. I always think of it as wearing a plumage made out of spandex:)

I captured this image while up at Magee Marsh this past weekend. The migration I'm afraid is about done for the year, I saw very few birds the last few days. It was a treat to see this lovely waxwing as I was about to head home.

Hi Ron,a magnificent cedar waxwing caught in a perfect pose,a magnificent capture! Just the sharpness isn't the best, maybe you works hard with the noise reduction and some detail is lost...no problem, nobody is perfect and this is still a very interesting post. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hi Ron,

The bird is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of the Cedar Waxwing. The good luminosity is bringing out the beauty of the colours. Have a nice day.

I guess we get to see this elegant bird from the nature photographers of the US only, Ron.
It indeed is the most attractive bird I have ever seen.
The image is a masterpiece in every respect.
