[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While up at Magee Marsh photographing birds I stumbled upon these two frogs sitting next to each other. I can't remember ever spotting two frogs from different species lined up so perfectly in a pose. I couldn't believe they were just sitting there in the open waiting for someone to take their picture.

The frog on the left is a Bullfrog and is quite common in my home area of Ohio. The frog on the right is a beautifully patterned Northern Leopard Frog and is also quite abundant along wet meadows, vegetated streams and lake margins.

Perhaps they were getting ready to produce a new hybrid species;)

Both Frogs are beautiful in their own ways, Ron. Like this 'aside' photo while you were actually shooting birds.
I also like the mossy and moist earth on which the Frogs rest. I guess there's some fungus too within the frame. Nice natural ambience!
Leaving on a short Himalayan trek tomorrow with my students. Hope to bring back some landscapes.

Ciao Ron, great capture of lovely couple, wonderful natural colors, fine details, excellent clarity and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

beautiful colours and great sharpness
thanks gr lou

Hi Ron,
Interesting and spectacular scenario, and although the camera angle wasn't the best ever, this queue of fungi (Lentinus tigrinus maybe, according to the habitat, colors and cap textures) and 2 frog species is breathtaking. Perfect depth, colors and especially atmosphere, I really feel myself there in the swamp, facing the frogs who were confused by the aim of love. :-) Great shot which tells a story, absolutely gorgeous! Bravo!
Kind regards from the now rainy and windy Ireland, László

Hello Ron,
Beautiful picture of two different frogs. Very well captured. I like its natural habitat. Nice tone and DOF. I would like to remove those sticks from top, using PP tools.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice Saturday,
