I rarely get the chance to view the White-crowned Sparrow since they are found mainly in the western states. These distinctly marked birds love to forage on the ground. They seem to travel in small groups and can be seen during the spring migration.

Hello Ron,
Amazing details and perfect focus as usual. Nice colorful Sparrow with different colors of the head as those spread in Europe....

Indeed the blurred paphia is not interesting and it come out blurred because of my 105 mm lens....The lens has a very narrow DOF....The paphia was 5 inch in front of the other two butterflies.....I left it in the frame just to show how many butterflies are around.
Thank for visiting my gallery...

Ciao Ron, great capture of lovely bird in nice pose, wonderful natural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, have a good week end, ciao Silvio

Hi Ron,absolutely perfect, made in the best light but with a top class too,the sharpness and the colors are the best as possible, interesting sparrow species,i like it! Have a nice evening and thanks,LUCIANO

Common House Sparrows are becoming scarce in our country, Ron. It leaves me worried!
This White-crowned Sparrow from your country appears to be the denizen of wilderness. It is a truly beautiful bird and you have showcased it very well for us.

Hello Ron,
Well captured this Sparrow in its natural habitat. Very good BG and splendid details. Like the way you have managed such nice exposure. Good work.
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Ron,

The rock is helping to frame the bird. The point of view is showing the details of the White-crowned Sparrow. The good luminosity is bringing out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Sharp as a tack, colors excellent, and a fine background to set it off. Outstanding!
