Some of the office girls where I work like to walk during their lunch time break. They normally let me know if they spot any interesting insects along the way. This is how I met Mr. Stinging Caterpillar.

I have read that the Io moth caterpillar has a sting much worse then a bee. I vividly remember touching a similar looking caterpillar while in Brazil which made my thumb burn intensely for about two hours.

hello Ron,
une magnifique réalisation, bonne netteté et belle qualité des couleurs

What a beautiful gift you make to us, Ron !!! This caterpillar is one of the most beautiful in the world and you, lucky man, captured it very beautifully. The background neutrally neutralized as a backdrop that highlights and contrasts the incredible colors and details of this future butterfly. An extra bonus is the end of the wood with touches of moss and somewhat reddish betas. A delicate, sweet exposition bathes with a friendly light the body of the insect that is shown with great definition. Great work, my north american friend.

Hello Ron,
Amazing Caterpillar with such interesting shape and superb green colors...The details are as always exceptional. It is a top quality image as always.

Hello Ron,
Excellent BG! And composition. Like it.
Beautiful coloured Caterpillar. Well captured with good details and colour. Well exposure on white parts.
Thanks and regards,

Ciao Ron, great macro of fantastic caterpillar, wonderful natural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Ron,
That's fantastic, I mean both the photo and the caterpillar. It's like a little cactus or whatever, truly amazing! I might crop it a bit tighter, to focus on the caterpillar even more, but that's just a personal taste. Excellent exposure, sharpness andd colors. Bravo!
Kind regards from Ireland, László
