[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here's one from a few years ago. I was visiting some friends who own some beautiful forested land in north-central Wisconsin, and actually, they use the forest for selective logging, but they're careful to treat their property with respect, so the forest maintains very nice diversity, and it's loaded with mushrooms at certain times of the year.

I think these are in the Ramaria genus, not sure which species though. I shot it using natural light, putting the camera on a small tripod that has legs that spread almost flat, so I could get the camera right down near the ground.

Hello John,
Looks like you found a beautiful specimen to photograph. There is no doubt about how this type of fungi got it's name.
Focus is tac sharp allowing us to see the fine detail, and your choice of an f/11 aperture resulted in excellent DOF. Well done.

Very nice picture with super sharpness, and I love the autumn colors.

Hi John,
Beautiful subject, compo, sharpness, but the white balance settings were incorrect by my opinion, they were too much into the red and yellow direction. Unfortunately you block workshop option, so I visually can't demonstrate my idea about how to improve this photo, only verbally. Firstly I set temperature back to 4200 Kelvin, red cone -22, blue cone +28; then level correction (white input levels to 228) and got a version with by my opinion optimal colors and lights. Otherwise I like everything on the original photo except for that golden tone overdose.
Tfs, best regards, László

Hello John.
Lovely details in this capture looking like underwater coral. The warm natural tone looks good in the frame.
Have a wonderful holiday season.
