Mallard on the Wing
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I took an early hike this morning at the local nature preserve and saw this mallard drake swimming at the other end of Trout Pond. As I step toward a dock for a closer look, the duck took flight.
I was shooting in full manual, hand-held, and I'd metered for 1/1000 of a second after earlier trying to capture some small birds in motion nearby.
Mallards are well-documented here on TN, but for those wishing an informative overview, see the Mallard link on Wikipedia. |
