[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When I looked back at this image of the whitetail, captured during a late afternoon hike through the local nature preserve, I was struck by two things -- the realization I'd captured more deer in this frame than I'd bargained for (count tails and look closely) and what strikes me as a different-looking coat than later in the year (perhaps thicker and bushier from the winter so recently concluded?).

This one was hand-held; I shot in manual; and ended up balancing a somewhat middle-of-the-road aperture, max ISO, and the fastest shutter speed the conditions would permit.
