Hello Caleb,
A nice shot of this drake Mallard at rest. Looks like you had some really harsh sun to deal with in the BG.
Ron
Hello Caleb.
This seems particularly a difficult scene, taken in midday where we have a powerful sunlight illuminating one part of the frame and in the same time, deep shadows taking the other part of the image. Unfortunately our subject was in the most unfavorable position in my opinion ... or perhaps not. The worst could be in the middle of that split ;) Well Celeb, I think that no camera no matter how sophisticated can do it right with a single exposure under those circumstances. So, I personally wouldn't dare to point my camera towards that subject at that time, unless I wait for some clouds to cross that path. :)
I do not wanna pour cold water on you with my notes here, in fact I would like you to look carefully once again this image, then grab your camera and try again tomorrow . Come back early in the morning ... or in the late afternoon! Play ....
Regards,
George Veltchev
