[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While on vacation at Chautauqua Lake I was able to photograph this tiny Eastern Amberwing Dragonfly. The day was very sunny and I had my 100-400MM lens on in hopes of seeing some birds.

The birds were no where to be found, but I still was able to capture a few insects. This particular dragonfly was perched on a twig next to a small pond along with a few other species.

The eastern amberwing is a species of dragonfly in the family Libellulidae. Very small, it only reaches a total length of 25 mm. The males have orange or amber wings. Both male and female have a red marking on the ends of their wings.

Never seen such beauty and contrast, greetings from Sulaiman range.

The low perspective shows this Amberwing dragonfly completely in the form of its abdomen, wings, head and legs, Ron. The head in particular with the peculiar shape and coloring of eyes is the best aspect of your picture. The overall amber color of the subject looks very appealing against the plain green BG.
Thanks & regards.

C'est une très belle prise, sur fond neutre très agréable.
Belle palette de couleurs.
Belle position de cette libellule rouge.

Hello Ron,
It is really a splendid capture. Amazing sharpness and excellent clarity. Outstanding colors. The light and details are great. The summer here in my region was unusual warm not very pleasant for taking photos.....
Thanks for sharing!

Hello Ron,
Beautiful coloured Dragonfly; Eastern Amberwing. Beautiful and perfect BG. Clear view of its facial portion. Wings look bit soft and less details, comparing to facial portion.
Useful presentation although looks bit rich in colour; and not your top quality here, in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice WE,
