The sharpness is amazing , this is what macro is all about , according to me sharpness is one of the most important factor for a macro as lets the viewer see what he cant see or perceive through his eyes . Well done

Hi Bill,
You show here that. although we are no fans of the common housefly, it is a beautiful insect. I fully agree with Goutham above about the sharpness. What I also often look for in a macro is adequate DOF and here I am not looking for more and I am not looking for more detail either. It is all there and it is a fabulous image. Amazing that it sat still for you for long enough. Well done and best wishes.
