[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello again, let's move to subtropics again... The nice trip to Everglades nearly one year ago. There were so many interesting creatures there. So today I would like to show you a nymph of:

Romalea microptera (Beauvois) - Eastern lubber grasshopper
Family:
Romaleidae
Order: Orthoptera

As I don't have too much time at the moment, for now I tell you only that this immature stage differs dramatically in appearance from the adults. Later information on the nymph and the adult you will see in my next posts showing more of this species.

Now in the workshop, please see a habitat of this remarkable insect.

Hello Michal,
I admire your ability to find this creature in that jungle. I guess you know where to look. This a very impressive photo, not just because of the technical excellence but also for the rich background. The grasshopper is beautifully placed on top of an amazing pattern of light and shadow. Very well done.
Best wishes,
Hakan

Hi Michal
Lovely shot - nice strong lines and excellent colour - yet does not overwhelm subject.

Witam!
No pieknie! Bardzo fajna fotka, choc wolalbym raczej widziec robaka z profilu niz z gory (wiecej szczegolow). Podoba mi sie kolorystyka, kontrast, a przede wszystkim gra swiatla na lisciu :)
Pozdrowionka,
Radek

Hi Michal,
that's a powerful composition!
Excellent details, brilliant light.
The highlighted straight stuctures of the palm leaf look very ornamental.
Great picture, and very nice to see the habitat in the workshop. Thank you!

Peter
