The Jacksonville Zoo tags and monitors some of the wood storks that venture there every year to breed. This one seemed a little annoyed with his radio monitor, but of course can't remove it. It doesn't hurt or hinder them in any way, and enables the zoo to track their movement throughout the year as they travel around then return to breed.
The Jacksonville Zoo has one of the largest breeding colonies of wood storks in Florida. |
