|This partiuclar mantis hung around my garden for about one week. It stayed mostly on a hummingbird feeder but in this shot was on the iron garden gate.|
Though you cannot tell from this shot how big it is, as I recall it is about 4 inches long. The longest one I have ever seen, actually.

A very nice reproduction of a huge praying mantis in all its finery expertly captured from a good POV and with enough DOF to display all of it in fine focus Gary, the choice of a dark BG was perfect for this composition, TFS my friend.
