A Carolina Chickadee, taken in my backyard in Atlanta, GA.

Carolina Chickadees look much like Black-Capped Chickadees. Identification is usually location-dependant, though there is some overlap in the valleys of northern Tennesee.

Welcome David, super image of the chickadee. Nice detail, good colors, neutral background. Perhaps f/8 might have yielded better DOF. I look forward to seeing more of your talent here!

Hello David!
Welcome to TN. Excellent shot of the little birdie. Sharp, well exposed and tightly cropped. And, with all due respect to Rufous03, more DOF could have compromised the background blur and I don't think it would have been right in this case.

Very sharp details on this chickadee, David.
I like the composition of the diagonal branch.
Excellent POV showing not only the face of the bird,
but the way he holds on to the branch with his claws.
Great eye contact.
TFS. : )
