Natural foam donut
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This unusual foam "donut" was formed on the river in this eddy. As the water carrying the foam swirled around, and the foam slowly circled with the water beneath, it was apparently carved into this circular shape by the rocks around it. |

Hello Alan- I can't remember whether I have seen this unusual form picture here in TN or not. Good collection and well presented. Very good details and natural colour. Good work. Thanks for sharing. Regards- Srikumar

Hello Alan,
What a neat natural phenomenon you have photographed. I have seen this type of foam many times over the years, but never in the perfect shape of a donut like this. Pretty cool capture!!

Hello Alan,
Very unusual indeed and worth every pixel. Amazing, in fact. My first thought was that it probably was a toad's slime nest that had fallen into the water as they build them in branches overhanging water, but I accept your explanation. Very well done.
