Potomac in Flood #2
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
In spring the Potomac carries huge amounts of water, as it crashes through the rocks at Great Falls, Maryland, tossing aside huge trees as if they were matchsticks. The B&W seems to bring out the power of the river better than color does. This is one of 4 I will post. |

Hi Alan,i'm not a fan of black and white, especially for pics like that, and i don't know if your choice was the best..ehehe....but the result is very nice too,the moment is very interesting about what happens there in springtime, and the quality of sharpness is absolutely great.Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Alan,
There are times when B&W works out and times it doesn't, this is one in which, like you, I believe it enhances the water. Nicely focused and framed just right, we can definitely get a feel for the awesome power of the rushing waters. Well done!!

Hello Alan
I agree with Ron.The B&W here works very well once it brings force to the water.Excellent sharpness.Thank You.
